Week 39
We had a great week this week! Although it's our last week to submit learning logs for MyTechHigh, we'll still be doing some school for a bit.
For school, Eli, Ivy and Emmitt all worked on their math books. We also played some fun math games. Tenzi is a new game the kids all really like! They have had a lot of fun playing it together. We also continued with musical multiplication.
Eli worked on his language arts books a lot this week and is getting into writing stories. He wrote a couple of paragraphs on family meal time. He had to write it a few times since the first time he really went off topic (he likes to be super funny and sometimes he get really off topic just to get a laugh. I want to support creativity but I also like him to focus on the topic at hand). He also read some short stories, worked on his handwriting and did his vocab.
Ivy worked on her her reading lessons, her handwriting, did her dictation and wrote a couple of letters.
Emmitt did a lot of copywork this week and watched Leap Frog.
The kids played outside a lot for exercise. Emmitt learned to ride his bike last week and has been outside nearly every day on his bike. Eli and Ivy have also been riding their bikes and scooters.
Everyone helped out in the garden this week and with taking care of our chicks. Eli worked on his Lego Robotics some more this week too.
Part of our summer schedule will be learning Spanish. We are having so much fun with Spanish Song School! The kids are learning a few new words each week and singing along has been super great!
This week Eli has been helping take care of his grandparents rabbits again. He does a great job and it's nice that they live only three blocks away so he can walk over to take care of them.
