Week 38

Our week began in Arizona as we ended our trip.  We went boating on Monday and had a great time! It was Eli's first time knee boarding and he got up a couple times and loved it.  Ivy and Eli both went tubing and Emmitt jumped in the water a couple of times.  It was a little overcast that day and had a bit of a chill in the air, but everyone still enjoyed it.

We had a short week due to getting home at 5am Tuesday morning, but still managed to get some school in over the rest of the week.

Eli worked on a couple of language arts lessons and also his math.  He's working right now on saying larger numbers like 5,789,123 and also division and multiplication.  He also worked on his handwriting and typing which is improving.

Ivy worked on her reading lessons and handwriting.  In her math, she's writing larger numbers like 924 and is also working with measuring things (in inches) and figuring out the perimeter.

Emmitt finished up his language arts book just in time for summer.  He wrote numbers for math and is writing all of his numbers really well (struggled for awhile with 5 and 3).

We did lots of outdoor exercises this week with the trampoline and gardening.  We also learned about the galaxy and planets.  Eli, Ivy and Emmitt all spent time working on lego robotics this week building "Raptor."

Everyone is having a great time watching our baby chicks grow and thrive!  We got the cutest little hen house for our baby chicks and it's nice to have them right in the backyard vs over in our barn area where the bigger hens stay.
