Week 37
Eli's math is coming along great! He has 12 lessons to go in his math book and his doing great! He already knows multiplication but the musical multiplication program I got for him is really helping him get to where he can say the answers faster. He wrote quite a few stories this week and did really well. He's still reading "A Yard for John" with me... we're progressing slower then I'd like, but hopefully this week or next he'll be done.
Ivy got a couple of math lessons done and is also progressing well with musical multiplication. She has 5 more lessons in her Reading Lessons so hopefully we can wrap up this book in the next 2 weeks. She did a lot more dictation this week which is so good for her confidence! She's mainly done copywork in the past but dictation is really good for her to practice her spelling.
Emmitt has one lesson left in his language arts. He's also been doing the musical multiplication with his siblings (haha... is kindergarten too soon??). He practiced writing numbers this week and enjoys reading books with me (picture books mostly).
We went for walks outside this week and enjoyed the great weather. Eli lead us in a few exercises - sit ups, push ups, jumping jacks. Emmitt had his first baseball game this week and he LOVes baseball.
We left for Arizona this week to go on vacation (we've been gone every weekend for the past three weeks... a little crazy)! It was wonderful! The kids all did good on the drive and Eli, Ivy and Emmitt swam at the hotel we stayed at for one night. Then we stayed at my sisters house where we played lots and had Zeke's first birthday party. Ivy and Aurora played with the baby bunnies that we took down from grandma and grandpa's house.
