Week 35

We had a really great week this week!!!  Spring is definitely in the air so we cut the week a little short and got out camping!  We found a really great place up Kimberley Mountain right along a creek that was the perfect depth for kids to play in (still quite cold though).  We went for hikes, built fires, played catch, played in the water, roasted hot dogs and marshmallows and tested out our new camper!  It was terrific!!  Being up in the mountains is so good for us and good for me as I get out of the house and don't have to worry about normal house responsibilities!  A win win!!!

We also got a bit started on the garden, although not much.  We mainly moved dirt this week from a big mound to one of our raised garden beds.  We still have a lot of work to go though :).\

Eli worked on his math, language arts and writing this week.  He's clipping right along with everything.

Ivy worked on her math, language arts and writing also this week.  She's on lesson 45 of her Reading Lessons so she only has 8 lessons to go!!!  She's becoming more curious about words and reading random words here or there which I'm excited about!  I'm really working on having her do more writing.  She gets frustrated very easily though so if I can see she's get really worked up, I'll cut her writing in half.  She's doing great though!

Emmitt practiced writing a lot of words in his notebook, but didn't do any formal lesson this week.  He's also getting curious about how to spell words.  I ordered him his next curriculum but realized it's the same level as what he's just about to complete so I've got to order the next level up.
