Week 6
Math:
Eli's adding and subtracting large numbers and reviewing money. Ivy worked on clocks this week and is also creating her own calendar. She's reviewing addition of single digits. Emmitt has been practicing counting up to 20 and identifying numbers 1-20.
Language Arts:
Eli continued his cursive handwriting practice this week. He also worked on reading and Narration. He finished reading Sarah, Plain and Tall and we were able to discuss elements that the author used in writing the story like simile's and building the plot, etc. Ivy has continued on her All About Reading and finished level 11. She practiced her Handwriting and also wrote sentences on her white board. Emmitt is continuing with learning his letter sounds and we read a lot of books this week.

TECH:
Ivy created another flower picture from her Kiwi Crate which used the Capillary Effect to color the flowers. Eli, Ivy and Emmitt also built a Bow out of wood at their commonwealth this week. They're pretty sturdy bows and we found old arrows they've been able to use so they didn't have to make arrows, which has been convenient.
PE:
This week at gym class we did Parkour. It was really fun for all the kids!
Here's a video of us doing our thing Gym class
This week was great in our Commonwealth! Emmitt sang lots of songs and Ivy decided to join the older class with Eli where they did science experiments.
