Week 4
Math:
Eli continued doing his math review. He's adding and subtracting large and small numbers, practicing tally marks and adding and subtracting multiple numbers. Ivy is doing math review as well, including place value's, writing her numbers and identifying the differences in the sides of shapes. Emmitt has been practicing counting up to 20 and identifying numbers 1-20.
Language Arts:
Eli continued his cursive handwriting practice this week. He also worked on diagramming sentences this week as well as learning the rule of adding a consonant in a one syllable word when adding a suffix that starts with a vowel. Ivy has continued on her All About Reading as well as doing her Handwriting. Emmitt is learning his vowels and practicing the T, H, C and A sounds.
HISTORY:
Eli learned about the history of presents and practiced wrapping old fashioned gifts. Ivy and Emmitt missed out on history this week.
TECH:
Eli made his spinning art kit, which has been a lot of fun for everyone! It was interesting putting it together as he had to put connecting wires into a Breadboard and then connect it to a battery pack. Ivy worked on making cute, colored flowers and she colored them using the Capillary Effect. She also put together a little wood tree. Emmitt put together a Bow and Arrow with his Kiwi Crate.
PE:
Gym was great this week! Eli, Ivy and Emmitt practiced tricks on the trampoline, did handstands, cartwheels and jumping from wall to wall over a big gap!! It was a highlight of the week.
